At Never Dull Farm, we raise chickens, turkeys, ducks, and pigs on a small scale. Starting in 2026, we’re offering a limited number of animals through seasonal pre-orders, sharing what we raise beyond our own table.

Our animals are moved regularly through pasture and woods and are fed organic grain along with surplus fruits and vegetables. For many years, we’ve raised animals for meat with the belief that the life they live matters. Chickens peck, scratch, and crow at first light. Pigs root, wallow, and hunt acorns in the woods. Ducks swim and patrol the yard for insects. Turkeys curiously supervise, with no regard to personal space, whatever farm project is happening nearby.

Harvest is done here on the farm as part of the responsibility we take on in raising animals for food, keeping the process consistent with how they are cared for. It’s part of our commitment—raising animals this way asks more of us, and we believe it results in food that reflects the life the animal lived. Processing is done calmly, in small batches, with attention to cleanliness and respect for the animal. Our pricing reflects the cost of doing this work on a small scale, giving animals room, quality feed, and time.

Both of us work off the farm and enjoy what we do, so we keep the farm intentionally simple and integrated into our daily lives. Quantities are limited, everything is seasonal, and all sales are offered by pre-order.

Alongside the livestock, we keep a modest vegetable garden and maintain a small orchard with apples, pears, plums, grapes and peaches. If the season allows, we hope to have this produce available at our self-serve farm stand.

We don’t consider ourselves experts, so a good day means we are learning, making changes, and trying to do better. We’re happy to answer questions or talk through how things work, especially for anyone new to buying food directly from a farm.
